Jaden’s Curiosity Chronicles #71 - 12.16.24
Twitter is Donesville.
Yesterday I decided that I wanted to start engaging on Substack (the platform that hosts & distributes my newsletter & podcast).
Also our free DRC group chat, join up :)
Within the first 5-10 min I saw a note (Substack’s tweet) by a creator named Michele.
It really resonated & inspired me, so I couldn’t help but respond.
I’m genuinely so in love with this platform and believe that it’s creators are the people that I want to attract into my audience.
And yesterday on my first day engaging & building connections, I got 2 subscribers to the newsletter. (appreciate you guys <3)
This letter, I’ll be sharing an interaction I had with Vera.
The Pitfall of Self Improvement
You guys have recently seen this idea come from me throughout letters & RTR.
I love self improvement. But this interaction I had with Vera perfectly sums up why most self improvement, personal development, & even spirituality can be detrimental rather than beneficial.
So yesterday I’m scrolling & I see this.
And honestly all I can say is that, I’ve been there. Which is what triggered this response.
A bit long….
But once the flow comes it’s hard to stop baby ;)
I thought I was finished yapping there but apparently I wasn’t…
Dropped one of my fav quotes too ;)
Creating & getting into a consistent flow state has easily been one of the highest impact tasks I’ve done the last year to drastically improve my mental health.
Awesome to know that my words encouraged Vera to step back into her own embodiment as a creator 😊
Tell me DUBSS w the guitar isn’t go cray cray?
Yo I’m cool asl in this pic whhaaattttt????? 😎
Moving on.
Super awesome interaction w Vera that not only led to a genuine connection built, but also led to me writing this newsletter and sharing this story with you guys.
This is the importance of consuming on a platform that actually inspires you & makes you want to genuinely engage & interact.
In simpler terms “create what you consume.”
It makes creating consistently waayyy easier.
So if you want to improve your mental health & ditch the bs self improvement habits or spiritual practices (that can be awesome but aren’t necessary), get into a flow state everyday.
Of course it’s not this black & white but to start build momentum with small wins, this is your best bet.
Action step prompt:
Figure out something that you did around age 3-8 that you LOVED but aren't doing anymore
Commit to showing up for that task or practice for 15min today
Show up & get flowin baaaabbbbyyyyyy
Do it today. Be better for it tomorrow.
Stay blessed & stay loving.
